Slow Cooker Party Meatballs
These party meatballs made in a slow cooker are a great appetizer for any event. The savory meatballs go perfectly with the sweet and sour sauce, making them impossible for guests to resist.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb frozen meatballs
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp water
- Optional: chopped green onions, for garnish
Instructions:
In a slow cooker, combine ketchup, brown sugar, soy sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger
Stir until well mixed
Add frozen meatballs to the sauce mixture, stirring to coat evenly
Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until meatballs are heated through and sauce has thickened
In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth
Stir the cornstarch mixture into the slow cooker during the last 30 minutes of cooking to thicken the sauce
Once done, serve meatballs hot, garnished with chopped green onions if desired
