A tasty and healthy treat, this Snickerdoodle Chickpea Smoothie tastes like a snickerdoodle cookie in liquid form. Its a great way to start the day or fuel up after a workout because its full of protein from chickpeas and healthy fats from almond butter.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup cooked chickpeas
- 1 ripe banana
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1/4 cup rolled oats
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp maple syrup optional, for sweetness
- Ice cubes optional, for thickness
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
Add the cooked chickpeas, ripe banana, almond milk, rolled oats, almond butter, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, maple syrup if desired, and a pinch of salt to a blender
