Waldorf Wisconsin Blue Burger
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 burger buns
- 4 oz Wisconsin Blue cheese, crumbled
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup chopped celery
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lettuce leaves
- Sliced tomatoes
- Sliced red onion
Instructions:
Set your grill or griddle on the stove to medium-high heat to get it ready
While the grill is getting hot, make a Waldorf-style sauce by mixing the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, chopped celery, chopped walnuts, and fresh parsley in a bowl
After mixing well, set it aside
Shape the ground beef into 4 burger patties that are all the same size
Add salt and pepper to taste to each patty
The burger patties should be cooked for about 4 to 5 minutes on each side on a hot grill or griddle until they are medium-rare or to your liking
In the last minute of cooking, sprinkle a lot of Wisconsin Blue cheese crumbles on top of each patty and let it melt a bit
Toast the burger buns on the grill until they are golden brown while the burgers are cooking
Spread the Waldorf sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun before putting the burgers together
Put a lettuce leaf on top of the sauce, then a burger patty with cheese that has melted on top of that
Spread tomato slices and red onion on top of the burger patties
Then, put the top half of the toasted bun on top of that
Put your favorite side dishes on the table right away with your Waldorf Wisconsin Blue Burgers
Have fun with your gourmet burger
